Get found in local search with correct search engine submissionsLocal Search, or geographically targeted online searchers need to find you, or they will find your competition.

It is crucial for your business that the major search engines have the right information about your business. 

You may have submitted your correct information to Google, Yahoo! and Bing, and still find the wrong information is listed when you search for your business.  It can be frustrating, especially if you re-submit and see no changes.

 Here are a few tips to help you rectify your situation

  • Always begin by registering with the major 3 search engines in their local directory.  For Google: Go here   For Yahoo!: Go Here  For Bing: Go Here

(Canadian businesses will not be able to take advantage of Yahoo or Bing’s local listings at this time – it is exclusive to the US.)

  • Although you submit your information to the search engines, they may not rank that information as the “gospel truth” IF what you submit to the Search Engines is not the same information that they get from their major suppliers of information.

Who are the major suppliers of information to search engines?

Be sure you take the time to register your information at these major data centers. Be exact, and careful to register your industry selections properly.

It may take a bit of time to see it corrected, but you will most likely see your information corrected on your local search listing, once the search engines index from the info sites.
