Harmony Thiessen is a Change Specialist – Professional Speaker, Trainer, and Change Consultant
From changes in culture, to career and family life, Harmony has learned, often the hard way, that if you are alive, change is inevitable.
People resist change as if they can control it. Resistance is an illusion. Change is happening to every cell of your body every moment. Nature reminds us that earthquakes and tornadoes can alter a country or a community and bring an economy to slow motion. Stock markets change by the minute, and they determine how much the investments you work so hard to safeguard, are actually worth. Change is here and now – let’s learn to work with it to our advantage.
"Harmony worked for almost 20 years in human relief and development in over 15 countries. From war torn Central America to Moscow, Zambia to the most bombed hotel in the world in Northern Ireland, Harmony learned first hand the consequences of people and organizations that resist change.
Harmony began professional speaking around the world on the insights she learned from the people she served. Her work toward her Master’s degree focused on leadership development and education. She worked with churches, companies, organizations, political and community leaders, individuals and governments to help people prepare for and create sustainability around change processes and outcomes.
"People around the world describe her speaking style as “trans-formative”, “hilarious”, “educational” and “provocative”."
